Emotion behind a lens

I shall sneak into this little virtual space from time to time to ponder, away from the professional photographer’s daily realm of technically correct images created as dictated by a commercially calculated target audience.

Mast

I shall whisper here to myself, using images captured from complex personal emotions, recorded for myself with the purpose of later analysis. The visitors here would be anybody who care to drop by and observe. You, and the rest of the world.

I am not violating the privacy of my own most sacred emotions here, I’m simply putting it in a gallery for free interpretation, the outcome of which will be different for every single passer by. I shall not practice my professional skills of visual conceptualising here since I have no need to influence anybody’s perceptions or opinions, those are yours to behold.

You may encounter visual emotional outcries of my happiness, fears, banalities, sorrows, erotic thoughts, or simply visual eye witness records of other people’s emotions as perceived by me, lonely travellers, wedding couples, life hardened people, happy people, sad people. You may not even recognise it as such..

You may overhear me muttering to myself here, you might understand, but remember I am of images and not of words. But then again, there’s a logical thought behind the creation of every image, so if you care to stroll through here you might just hear a whisper from me not in vain.

Be my guest.

  1. Derek – you have an absolute God-given talent to create “soul-moving” images. Thank you for sharing some of your work with us!

  2. Ditto. What a privilege. I will wander along this path often, all be it in silence. A journey awaits.
